Technical Writer. Designed and created
user guides for internal software programs used by restaurant managers, including initial
training on the program itself, creating an outline or skeleton document, making
suggestions for improvements in the program itself, collecting and organizing information
into checklists. Assisted in quality assurance testing of programs. Wrote procedural and
quick reference documents. All documents were written for an end user audience.
Recipe Auditor. After writing documentation for the Recipe Manager program, I took
over the duties of recipe auditor. This position includes the auditing of recipes and
their ingredients for clarity, correctness and completeness, as well as communication with
the managers of 5 different restaurants in 5 states. Reports generated from this program
help the company to determine and control plate costs. Provided training to others in the
use of above mentioned program.
