I did this necklace, bracelet and earring set for my good friend Jen. She had a gig and wore a black slinky dress and wanted something eyecatching to wear on stage...
Embellished Cabochon necklace
Cabochons are flat backed stones. This particular necklace combines bead applique on leather, peyote stitch, and a lacy stitch for the chain.
I have several stones in my inventory currently. Please inquire if you are interested. This particular necklace sits just below the hollow of your throat, but can be made as long as you need.

Spiral Rope Necklaces
These are examples of what can be done using a spiral rope necklace. These particular pieces have central 'treasures' as the focus, but these ropes look great with no extra embellishment at all. Shown here are variegated ropes but your rope can be made with just two colors of beads.
Like the bracelets, I have a wide variety of colors available for this necklace. Basically, if you can imagine it, I can make it! The ones shown above are made with one color for the inside color and various shades for the outer, more visible beads. I suggest combining one or more of the following colors:
Purple
Blue
Green
Yellow
Copper
Bronze
Red
Orange
Beige
Clear
You can also pick 'themes' of colors such as autumn colors, pastels, jewel tones, earth tones and so forth.

The center stones in this earring and necklace set are Red Jasper which is a lovely earthy stone with a very rich color! All pieces are backed by soft leather and the beads are strung on strong nylon thread. The stones in the earrings measure 22x30mm and the stone in the necklace measures 30x45mm.

This set was donated for an auction to benefit Hooterville, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in Bothell, Washington.
The following pictures show several necklaces that feature a special centerpiece. The principle in their design is the same - make a particular object (such as a crystal) the focal point of a necklace and use coordinating beads for the chain itself. Although these particular necklaces are not for sale, I can create and customize one just for you!
This necklace has a centerpiece of a beautiful crystal given to me by a dear friend. It utilizes a wire wrapping technique using sterling silver wire. Each bead gets its own 'link.' I can recreate it for you using a similar crystal or other centerpiece of your choice.

The other two necklaces are strung on tigertail (a very strong miniature cable). I have made necklaces similar to these for those who have a special centerpiece that they want to use.
